They say the last time it was this close was in 1948. That’s pretty insane, I did however get out to take a few shots tonight of the SuperMoon.

It did however clear up enough for me to get a few decent shots as well (though I quite like the shot with the cloud cover above)

The 2016 Supermoon

Unfortunately I left my tripod at work ( not to mention my remote trigger ) All in all though … a strange Irish guy resting up against some blue bins in Nantes outside an apartment block managed to get a decent shot or two 🙂

There’ll be another “Supermoon” next month … not quite as big as this one … however I’m hoping I can try to get the loan of a 400mm+ lens as I’d really love to improve on the detail.

No matter how many times I shoot the moon I still want to shoot it again and try to get a clearer shot.
