In case you’re looking for something to do with your little ones this weekend, the open days at the Carnaval de Nantes workshop is on. That’s right if you’ve forgotten Valentine’s day and are looking to make things up to your partner why not head along to the workshop on the 15th and 16th of Feb.
What’s to see and do? The same as other years if you’ve been. See the old floats, see the new, see the plans. Talk to the people working there. Meet the Reines de Nantes (They are usually there no idea if that holds true for this year)
The workshop is open to the public from 10am until 7pm on Saturday the 15th and 10am until 6pm on Sunday the 16th.
The workshop is at 19 Rue des Carnavaliers
How do I get there? well if you’re taking the tram then take the line one towards Ranzay or Beaujoire and get off at the Souillarderie tram stop. Down the stairs … under the bridge and you should see signs for the Carnival Workshop on your right … they’ll probably have a truck there and a security guard if last year is anything to go by.
Take a look at my visit last year …
