The Syndicat CGT has called for a general strike tomorrow in response to the governments planned changes to the “code du travail”

What does this mean for everyday life? It means there are going to be protests / marches taking place in the city center.

In the past they’ve involved scuffles between the police and the protestors (Though for the most part it’s the casseur / hooligans) Tear gas may very well get used so if you’re not protesting and can avoid the area I’d recommend you do.

The protest kicks off in Commerce at 13:30 though public transport will be affected before that so if you’ve got plans to get places make sure to plan ahead.

You can find out more about how public transport will be affected on the TAN website.
