With the 1st of May (Fête du Travail) pretty much being everything shut kinda day (don’t quote me on that but the TAN won’t be running… the one official day of the year .. and I suspect a lot of shops will be shut) most people will end up taking the jour pont! (the bridge day in between a jour férié and the weekend)
If you’re working and planning on getting places in the evening and need to take the périphérique (ring road around Nantes) in the evening I’d plan ahead. Disruptions will start around 17:00 … just when people are getting off work.
A go slow / block of most lanes has been announced by the Oui for the airport crowd. Read more on the Presse Ocean site above.
If you’re in the city centre you may also see some disruption to the public transport as the Carnaval de Nuit is on. Disruptions to tan will start at around 14:00. As always check the tan website for up to date details.
