Yes once again it’s the first Sunday of the month and the museums are free in Nantes.
This includes:
- Château des Ducs de Bretagne – Musée d’Histoire de Nantes
- Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle
- Musée Jules-Verne
- Musée d’arts de Nantes
- Le Chronographe
The Château has it’s usual exhibits a lot about the history of Nantes, there’s also the “Rock ! Une histoire nantaise” expo. On top of that there’s currently a photo exhibit which has some extremely vibrant photos.
The photos are incredibly vibrant and as it’s free worth a look 🙂
The Natural History museum is more generic but if you’ve got small kids it can be well worth a visit.
Museums are free on the first Sunday of the month from September to June (Not during Le Voyages à Nantes). Where the first Sunday is a public holiday they’ll be free the second Sunday though you’ll want to confirm.
