In case you didn’t know it there’s a new navibus service in Nantes. If you’ve ever wanted to get over to Trentemoult you could grab a shuttle bus from the Gare Maritime stop. Today the service is getting a little bit bigger.
A new line the N2 is opening and it’s going from Gare de Chantenay right across to the Hangar à Bananes.
The old line was called .. you guessed it … the N1
That doesn’t mean so much for me, however, if you’re living over that side of town and like heading out for a few drinks to the Hangar it’s probably going to make a big difference. Not to mention with some of the planned developments on the ile.
The service will run from 7am until 8pm every 20 minutes and until midnight on Fridays and Saturday during the summer. Is letting a load of drunk people on a boat a wise idea? I’m guessing only time will tell. Making the area more accessible to public transport can’t hurt though.
