I’ve noticed quite a few Christmas trees thrown places recently 🙁 It’s not ideal now is it? No they shouldn’t be thrown out in the normal waste nor should we burn them … chipping them is a good option but not one most of us have access to.
If you’re around town there are a number of points of collection for your old trees …
Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th January, from 9:00 till 18:00
- quartier Bellevue, Chantenay-Ste Anne, place des Garennes, en face de la maison de quartier Le Dix
- quartier Dervallières-Zola, Place Emile Zola
- quartier Breil-Barberie, Square Washington, place George Washington
- quartier Hauts Pavés-St Félix, Place Viarme (from the 11th till the 14th January)
Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th January, from 9:00 till 18:00
- quartier Nantes Nord, place du Baut, avenue d’Assise
- quartier Nantes Erdre, Gymnase Jean Jahan, Route de Saint-Joseph
- quartier Doulon Bottière, Parc du Grand Blottereau, 49 boulevard Auguste Peneau
You can find out more details on the website:

Alternatively if you’ve got transport you can get to one of the déchèteries around nantes
You can leave them at a recycling point so someone can use them to make a ‘feu de joie’ on Saturday! Ooooo! Controversial
